Teen arrested after fatal Friday shooting, Calhoun Co. deputies say

 

CALHOUN COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Calhoun County deputies have arrested a teen for a fatal shooting on Friday, March 14, said deputies.

According to investigators, they believe a 16-year-old ate gummies laced with a hallucinogen when he entered his kitchen on Cardinal Road and believed he saw two people wearing white masks.

Deputies say he grabbed a shotgun from his father’s bedroom and shot both victims.

One victim died at the scene while the other was flown to the hospital, said the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.

The 16-year-old is charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent offense.
