1.5 magnitude earthquake reported in Elgin

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– There was a wake and shake this morning for some Midlands residents.

Officials with the U.S. Geological Survey say a 1.5 magnitude earthquake shook things just over four miles south of Elgin at around 5 a.m. on Wednesday morning (March 19).

It is the second earthquake in the area in just over a month.
