FBI warns about ransomware for Gmail, Outlook users
(CNN)– The FBI is asking people and companies to take extra steps to protect their Outlook, Gmail, and other popular accounts.
It comes after a group of developers targeted critical industries such as healthcare, with ransomware called Medusa.
They’ve breached the data of hundreds of victims.
Some tips for protection are turn on two-factor authentication if it’s not already on, check for software updates, and check for alternative spellings of companies in websites, URL’s, and email addresses.
