Lexington County man sentenced to 25 years in prison for stabbing ex-girlfriend in 2023

The 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office says 38-year-old Robert Gaffney was convicted of attempted murder after stabbing his ex-girlfriend.

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A Lexington County man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for stabbing his ex-girlfriend in 2023, according to officials.

The 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office says 38-year-old Robert Gaffney was convicted of attempted murder.

According to investigators, Gaffney used a box cutter to cut and stab his ex-girlfriend over twenty times.

Authorities later found he conducted multiple internet searches regarding ways to murder someone within an hour.
