One person dead after afternoon apartment complex shooting, RCSD says

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– One person is dead after an afternoon apartment complex shooting, RCSD says.

Deputies with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department say they responded to Greenberiar Apartments off of Park Lane Road around 2 p.m. this afternoon (Weds, March 19).

Investigators say the victim died at the scene and one person is in custody.

Also, deputies say there is not an on-going threat to the community.

Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford identified the victim as 22-year-old Anaya Q. Herndon, of Columbia.
