SC population increases by 161K

(CNN)– New Census numbers are in, and the updated numbers show that between 2019, and 2023, more than 161,000 new South Carolina residents came from other states.

According to stats, the most significant increases were in Greenville, and Horry county.

Officials say the top reasons people give for moving to South Carolina include weather, lifestyle, and business opportunities.
