Fairfield County coroner releases name of individual involved in Tuesday incident

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Fairfield County Coroner Chris Hill is releasing the name of the individual involved in a Tuesday incident, said the coroner’s office.

According to Coroner Hill, 71-year-old Brenda Johnson of Ridgeway was crossing the road on Hwy 34 near Jewel Drive when she was hit by a vehicle that was traveling west.

Johnson was flown to Prisma Health Richland Memorial when she later died due to her injuries.

The Tuesday April 1 is still under investigation by the Fairfield County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol.
