U.S. State Department issues warning to Bahamas travelers
(CNN)– It’s Spring break season and if you are planning a trip to the Bahamas, listen up.
The U.S. State Department is urging travelers to be cautious when traveling to the island due to crime concerns.
The Bahamas is listed at level two of four on the state department’s assessment for travel safety.
Level one is the safest, and level four means “do not travel.”
To be clear, the state department is not discouraging travel to the Bahamas, it’s just warning travelers to “exercise increased caution” particularly in Nassau.
