Law enforcement officials cracking down on dog-fighting across the state
COLUMBIA, S.C.(WOLO)– Law enforcement officials say they are cracking down on dogfighting across the state.
Monday afternoon, April 7, Governor Henry McMaster and SC Law Enforcement Division (SLED) Director Mark Keel held a news conference to outline the details of the effort to break up dogfighting operations.
Governor McMaster says this is a crime that is far too common in South Carolina.
According to the most recent statistics available on SLED’s website in 2022, 477 dogs were seized from dogfighting operations in the Palmetto State.
