Instagram limits teen accounts

(CNN)– The way your teen uses Instagram is changing once again.

Instagram unveiled the new protections it is adding to its teen accounts on Tuesday.

Among the changes, teens under the age of 16 will be prohibited from going live without a parent’s permission.

A teen will also need a parent to sign-off on them turning off the feature that blurs images that may contain nudity in direct messages.

The new protections will be available in the coming months.
