Lee County man arrested on child sexual abuse material charges

LEE COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A Bishopville man has been arrested in relation to the sexual exploitation of a minor, SC AG Alan Wilson announced.

According to Wilson, 41-year-old Herbert Alton Mozingo, Jr., was arrested on two charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor.

Investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) which led them to Mozingo.

Investigators state Mozingo distributed and possessed files of child sexual abuse material.

Mozingo was arrested on Thursday, April 10, and charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor (second degree), and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, (third degree).

All counts of his felony offenses are punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment, said the AG’s Office.
