Lexington Police add new patches to uniform to promote austim understanding
LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)– Police in Lexington are adding a new item to their uniform.
On Monday, April 14, Chief Terrance Green announced the department has partnered with the Autism Society of South Carolina with a new uniform patch.
Green says the patch is designed to promote understanding and acceptance of individuals in the Lexington community who are on the autism spectrum.
You can get on the act, the patches can be purchased at the Lexington Police Department for $15.
All proceeds go to the Autism Society of South Carolina.
