Lending Tree says S.C. is the cheapest state in U.S. to raise a child

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– According to a recent study, it’s cheaper to raise a child in South Carolina than anywhere else in the country.

The report released by Lending Tree, says it costs on average $17, 699 a year to raise a child in the Palmetto State.

That includes costs like rent, food and child care.

Hawaii topped the list at a cost of more than $36,000 a year.
