(CNN) –Now to an update on a “What in the World File” story we brought you months ago.
Think back to January of 2024, A Michigan man, 19 year old Joshua Lowe was arrested. Well, today he was sentenced to 8 months in prison in Kalamazoo. Why? For making a bomb threat.
What caused him to make a bomb threat,you ask? Well, gather round children this one’s a doozy. The 19 year old found out that his girlfriend went on a Caribbean cruise ship vacation with her family, and without him. Not only that, but she left him to care for all the pets. This did not sit well with Mr. Lowe.
Good Ol’ Joshua Lowe tracked down his girlfriend’s cruise ship. Carnival Sunrise for all you Carnival connoisseurs, and
went on to email in a bomb threat. The message simply said, ““hey, I think someone might have a bomb on your Sunrise cruise ship,”Well, of course Carnival took it seriously. So, what happens because of this one 19 year old kid? Authorities say it caused the ship, which left from Miami had to be escorted by Jamaican Maritime authorities and diverted to a port in their country. Not only that, they had to search over 1100 rooms!
