RCSD: 3rd arrest in Blythewood Road shooting

 

 

RICHLAND CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Richland County Deputies have arrested a third suspect in a shooting on Blythewood Road earlier this month.

Jamari Nelson, 23, was arrested at his home Thursday, where deputies say they found two firearms, one of which is connected to an open investigation out of another agency.

He’s charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature & possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

According to investigators, the shooting happened on Saturday April 5 just before 2 a.m., at the 200 block of Blythewood Road.

One victim was shot in the lower body and several businesses suffered property damages.

Deputies say thanks to the public’s help, they identified two of the shooters, Darrell Birch and Nahjere Suber, and charged them for the incident.

All three suspects are being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

The Sheriff’s Department says there may be additional arrests as the investigation continues.
