TGI Fridays has only 85 locations left

(CNN)– The number of “TGI Fridays” restaurants nationwide is shrinking.

The casual dining chain now has only 85 restaurants left in the United States which makes it down from about 270 locations at the beginning of last year.

The chain’s parent company filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in late 2024, and has continued to shutter locations, including 30 in just the past month.

The company cites the pandemic as the “primary driver” of its financial challenges.

But it says it’s working to ensure the long-term viability of the TGIFridays brand, and will soon reveal a revamped menu.
