Elon Musk steps back from Doge

(CNN)– Elon Musk says he’s going back to Tesla.

On Wednesday, April 23, Musk told investors he would step back from his role running the Department of Government Efficiency next month.

He said he’ll spend just one or two days a week there and spend the freed-up time running Tesla.

But his high profile support of President Trump and controversial role at Doge may have already cost the company.

Earlier this month, the electric car maker reported the biggest sales drop in its history during the first quarter as buyers fled the brand.
