Local Living: Kane Brown at Monster Jam, Sweet Potato Festival, Kinetic Derby Day, Universoul Circus

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, Country music star Kane Brown is teaming up with Monster Jam to support the Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands.

There will be a school supply drive at the Colonial Life Arena on Thursday, April 24, at 2 p.m.

Donors will receive an exclusive discount on Monster Jam tickets as well as enjoy a variety of pre-show activities.

Kane Brown will also perform Thursday night, April 24, at 7 p.m.

 

Don’t miss South Carolina’s “sweetest” party of the year.

The Lower Richland Sweet Potato Festival begins Saturday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Hopkins Park on Lower Richland Boulevard.

There will be live music, games and all the sweet potato you can eat.

There will also be a free screenings for vision, prostate and more.

The event is free to attend.

 

Get ready to race at the 6th annual Kinetic Derby Day.

The event takes place this Saturday at 11 a.m. on State and Meeting Streets in West Columbia.

The one-of-a-kind event celebrates creativity, competition, and family fun.

There will be a sculpture parade, soapbox racing, food trucks and more.

 

Universoul Circus is coming to town.

It opens Thursday, April 24, at 7 p.m. and runs through Sunday, May 4, at the Columbia Place Mall on Two Notch Road.

You and the family can enjoy some big stunts from the hoop divers to the wheel of death and much more.
