USC’s College of Arts and Sciences naming ceremony
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– USC’s College of Arts and Sciences has a new name.
At a ceremony Wednesday morning, April 23, the school was named after the McCausland family, stemming from a gift of $75 million, the largest donation in the university’s history.
Officials say the funds will have an impact on the university that will last well into the future.
The donation will be used to invest in the college’s neuroscience major and also provide paid internship stipends for up to 150 students a year, while creating new opportunities for research.
