Law enforcement host Ceasefire Columbia in support of gun violence prevention

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police Chief ‘Skip’ Holbrook and law enforcement hosted Ceasefire Columbia on Wednesday night.

The goal of the program is to deter gun crime, promote community outreach, and provide training for and support gun violence prevention.

Project ceasefire is led by the Office of United States Attorney, and the District of South Carolina as part of the national effort for Project Safe Neighborhood.

The Columbia Police Department adopted the program in 2015 and named the program Ceasefire Columbia.
