City of Columbia, United Way team up for Shine for Shelter car wash fundraiser

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Some Midlands drivers got a car wash on Friday all while helping those in need.

On Friday, April 25, the City of Columbia Homeless Services Department and the United Way held their Shine for Shelter car wash fundraiser.

The proceeds go towards Rapid Shelter Columbia.

Participants who spoke with ABC Columbia say they’re happy to clean for a cause.

Columbia’s Rapid Shelter was launched in 2022.
