Faith groups call on lawmakers to pass agenda

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Several religious groups held a news conference at the state house Tuesday afternoon.

The group includes the Palmetto Family Council, Christian lobbying group ‘Faith Wins’, the Southern Baptist Convention, and pastors from across the state.

Some of the items they want to see passed are school choice, parental rights in medicine and education, life and student privacy concerns.

The groups are also opposing casino and on-line betting bills that are currently under consideration.
