Lexington Co. Coroner identifies victim after Augusta Road collision
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died after a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision Wednesday.
The collision happened in the 2800 block of Augusta Road in the West Columbia area of Lexington County on April 30.
According to Coroner Fisher, Zackary Ryan Rose, 30, of Lexington, was crossing Augusta Road when he was hit by a vehicle traveling westbound on Augusta Road.
Rose was pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries he received during the collision.
The driver remained at the scene, according to the coroner’s office.
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the West Columbia Police Department are continuing to investigate the collision.
