RSCD investigating Ridge View High School parking lot incident

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County deputies are investigating an incident that happened in the parking lot area of Ridge View High School on Wednesday, says RCSD.

The sheriff’s department says shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, deputies responded to a local hospital in reference to a Ridge View High School student that went in with an injury inflicted by an air-powered gun.

The investigation revealed that the incident had taken place on school property.

RCSD says the injured student was alert and communicative when deputies met with him at the hospital.

Ridge View High School Resource Officers were informed and began an investigation into how the incident occurred.

The incident is still under investigation, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
