LCCO: 1 injured, 1 dead after Founders Road single-vehicle collision

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified a person who died in a single-vehicle collision on Wednesday, said the coroner’s office.

The collision happened on Wednesday, April 30, in the 600 block of Founders Road in Lexington County.

According to Coroner Fisher, James Michael Carter, 46, of Lexington was the passenger in a vehicle traveling eastbound on Founders Road when the vehicle left the right side of the roadway and hit several trees.

Carter was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office, South Carolina Highway Patrol MAIT, and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are continuing to investigate the incident.
