McDonald’s has biggest sales drop since Covid-19 pandemic
(CNN)– McDonald’s just experienced its biggest drop in sales since the height of the COVID pandemic.
It was the second consecutive quarter of declines at the golden arches as customers pull back spending amid economic uncertainty.
In the U.S., the company’s largest market, same-store sales dropped more than three-and-a-half-percent.
That’s the largest decline since 2020 during the height of the pandemic when people were told to stay home.
Chipotle, Yum! Brands, Domino’s Pizza and Starbucks all recently reported meager earnings results as consumer sentiment sinks.
