Spending for Mother’s Day expected to reach $34 billion

(CNN)– Mother’s Day is around the corner and Americans are planning to spend big on mom.

According to the National Retail Federation, a little over $34-billion is expected to be spent on Mother’s Day this year.

On average, consumers plan to spend more than $250 on gifts and celebrations.

Flowers continue to be the most popular gift, followed by cards and special outings.

Mother’s Day spending totals are up from last year.

The 2025 amount is close behind the record $35.7 billion consumers spent in 2023.
