Walmart shares updates on renovations for stores in 47 locations
(CNN)– Walmart shared an update on its “Store of the Future” renovations.
More than 650 locations in 47 states and Puerto Rico are getting updated this year.
On Wednesday, April 30, the retail giant announced which stores in five states are slated for the revamp.
Walmart says the stores will be more sustainable with energy efficient equipment and lighting, and electric vehicle fast-charging stations.
The updates include bigger signs and displays, more selection, expanded online pickup and delivery, and a new pharmacy layout.
Walmart says the remodel projects will create tens of thousands of jobs.
