Two big local names and others have withdrawn from the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic as of Sunday, according to an updated list from PGA Tour Communications.

Lucas Glover from South Carolina and Webb Simpson from North Carolina have both withdrawn from the tournament that starts Thursday.

A reason for withdraw has not been given at this time, and other names have also withdrawn from the competition.

The player field was originally announced on Friday.

Glover is a Clemson graduate and a U.S. Open Champ who saw his game soar late in the 2023 season, winning the Wyndham and FedEx St. Jude Championships. Simpson also has a U.S. Open Championship win on his resume and won the 2005 Southern Amateur at The Dunes Club.

Play begins May 8 and runs through May 11.
