Bill would compensate businesses impacted by construction
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– In the Midlands, lawmaker wants businesses impacted by construction to be compensated for lost income.
Richland County Representative Hamilton Grant introduced the Small Business Construction Impact Relief Act.
The program will both provide forgivable and repayable loans to eligible small businesses that demonstrate a revenue loss of at least 25% due to construction projects.
The measure has been referred to the House Ways and Means Committee.
