Law enforcement agencies honor fallen officers who served their local communities

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Law enforcement agencies across Lexington County came together on Tuesday, May 6, to honor fallen officers who have served their local communities.

The annual event recognizes those who were killed in the line of duty dating as far back as 1897.

Officers who spoke with ABC Columbia say those who sacrificed their lives will never be forgotten.

The memorial service has taken place for the last 13 years.
