Real ID now required for air travel
(CNN)– You now need a Real ID to get on a plane to fly domestically.
Airline passengers saw these video signs at Philadelphia International Airport on Wednesday, May 7.
The requirement is now in effect for Americans to have the specific form of identification marked by a star in the upper right corner.
Officials say if you do not have a Real ID or another accepted form of identification such as a passport you will still be able to fly domestically.
However, a traveler will have to be prepared to go through additional screening.
