Two parents killed & child injured in I-95 collision in Orangeburg
ORANGEBURG CO., S.C. (WOLO) – The Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office has identified the parents killed in an I-95 wreck that also injured their child Tuesday.
Orangeburg County Coroner Sean Fogle says Kyle Greene, 32 and Sara E. Greene, 33 of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina both died on scene from multiple blunt force injuries.
It happened on the northbound side near mile marker 87 around 12:45 a.m.
According to Master Trooper William Bennett, the victims were driving a 2019 Chevy Equinox north on I-95, when the Chevy struck the dump truck from behind.
Both parents died on scene from their injuries while their child, who was a passenger in the rear, was taken to the hospital.
The dump truck driver wasn’t hurt.
This incident remains under investigation.
