Car crashes into Irmo bakery

Irmo, SC (WOLO) — The Irmo Police Department says everyone is okay after a small SUV drove into a local restaurant Thursday.

Earlier this evening officers responded to ‘Lita’s Treats’ after a vehicle made an unexpected entrance. The Irmo Police Department says no one was injured. EMS did check on the driver, who is reported okay tonight.

Police say the accident took place when the driver accidently hit the gas instead of the brake catapulting it thru the windows.

According to a post on Lita’s Treats Facebook Page the location will be closed until further notice.
