Local Living: Wings and Wheels Festival, Keep the Midlands Beautiful, Columbia Black Expo

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, the 20th annual Wings and Wheels Festival kicks-off this Saturday, May 10. It is going on from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fairfield County Airport on Runway Road in Winnsboro. The event features parachute demonstrations, airplane rides and a classic car show and much more. It’s also free to attend.

Keep the Midlands Beautiful is hosting its annual shoe drive fundraiser that is going on from now until May 31. You can donate new or gently used shoes at their office on Augusta Road in West Columbia. The fundraiser helps raise funds to support litter prevention recycling and beautification efforts.

The annual Columbia Black Expo is coming to the state fairgrounds next week.

It’s from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m next Saturday, May 17. There will be exhibition products from several black owned businesses and more. You can also try several dishes at the Taste of the Black Expo, which happens Friday, the day before on the 16th at the state fairgrounds.
