RCSD: Woman arrested in connection with DUI on Decker Blvd

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County Sheriff’s Department says a woman has been arrested in connection with a DUI 1st offense.
Deputies say they saw Brittany Williams driving in a reckless manner on Decker Blvd around 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 8.
After conducting a traffic stop and making contact with Williams, deputies could smell the odor of alcohol coming from her, according to RCSD.
Deputies performed field sobriety tests at the scene but Williams continued to show signs of impairment.
When deputies informed Williams she was being placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol, she was handcuffed and deputies say she began kicking and spitting on them.
Before her car was towed away, during a search of the car deputies found two bottles of liquor with both of the seals broken in her passenger seat.
She was arrested for DUI 1st offense, assault while resisting arrest, throwing bodily fluids on an LEO, and child endangerment.
Also, she was booked at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
