City of West Columbia announces parks reopen

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The City of West Columbia has announced that parks are reopened after closing on Monday due to inclement weather.

The city closed parks on May 12 due to the threat of flooding, and the possibility of downed trees.

Closed Parks Include:

  • B Avenue Ball Park
  • Bark West Dog Park
  • Carraway Park at the Riverwalk
  • Douglas Reeves Community Park
  • Fowler Community Park
  • Rosamunda Percell-Butler Community Park
  • West Columbia Riverwalk Park and Amphitheater

The following parks will remain closed due to damage from Hurricane Helene:

  • Moffatt Street Entrance to the Riverwalk
  • West Columbia Riverwalk – 109 Alexander Road
