SC Department of Public Safety steps up seat belt enforcement as Summer nears

 

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The Department of Public Safety (SCDPS) wants you to be ready for the 100 deadly days of Summer.

Officials say between now and the end of may troopers and other law enforcement agencies are conducting a seat belt education and enforcement effort called  “Buckle up South Carolina”.

According to officials the one hundred deadly days of summer are the busy travel season between memorial day and labor day, which they say is one of the most dangerous times on the road.
