Lexington One to offer free Summer meals for all students

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County School District One has announced the district will be participating in the USDA Summer Meals Program to provide Lexington One students with free meals during the Summer, says the district.

Officials say the district is dedicated to providing nutritious meals to children in the community throughout the Summer months.

Parents/Guardians can sign up for meal pick-up through ParentSquare during the following designated timeframes:

  • Sign up June 5 – June 8 for June 11 pick-up

  • Sign up June 12 – June 15 for June 18 pick-up

  • Sign up June 19 – June 22 for June 25 pick-up

  • Sign up June 26 – June 29 for July 2 pick-up

Parents/guardians will need to sign up all students in their household to make sure all students receive meals.

Important pick-up information: 

To ensure accurate meal distribution and the safety of all students, parents/guardians must provide documentation verifying their relationship to the child/children if the children are not present at the time of pick-up. Acceptable forms of documentation include:

  • Student(s) listed in ParentSquare App on mobile device

  • Student identification card(s)

  • Report card(s)

  • Birth Certificate(s)

  • Legal guardianship paper(s)
    ***Please note these documents can be photos on your mobile device. You do not need to bring a physical copy.

Meal pick-up will be available on June 11, June 18, June 25, and July 2, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Centerville Elementary School, 4147 Augusta Highway, Gilbert, 29054

  • Deerfield Elementary School, 638 Longs Pond Road, Lexington, 29073

  • Pelion Middle School, 325 Main Street, Pelion, 29123
