Cost to keep homes cool could break records during the Summer

(CNN)– Keeping cool could cost more this Summer.

A new analysis finds Americans can expect to shell-out a record $784 dollars on average to cool their homes from June through September.

That’s up more than 4% from the same period last year.

The National Energy Assistance Directors Association cites two reasons for higher costs to come: electricity prices rising faster than inflation and another hot Summer on tap.
