Orangeburg County Sheriff’s deputies searching for alleged armed robbery suspect

 

 

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Orangeburg County Sheriff’s deputies and investigators are on an active search to find a person accused of armed robbery, says OCSO.

The sheriff’s office says deputies and investigators received a call around 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 16, about a robbery at Kay’s Jewelers on North Road.

“We are asking that if anyone sees the suspect to contact us immediately. We ask you, do not approach him, just call 911,” Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says.

The person is believed to be on foot and the sheriff’s office says a search is underway.

The person is described as a black male wearing dark clothing, a bucket hat, white socks, and dark colored sandals.

Anyone who sees the person or who has information on the person is urged to call 911.
