Sumter woman arrested after gunfire during domestic dispute, deputies say

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A Sumter woman has been arrested after an incident involving gunfire on Monday night, say deputies.
Sumter County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a home on Quail Run after receiving reports of a domestic dispute.
According to witnesses, Brittany Anne Smith fired a handgun multiple times into the air after an argument with an acquaintance.
SCSO says Smith was arrested at the scene and taken to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center, where she remains in custody awaiting a bond hearing.
Smith was charged with domestic violence, 2nd degree.
