AAA predicts high number of plane passengers during Memorial Day weekend

(CNN)– AAA predicts more than 3-and-a-half million passengers will get on a plane between Thursday, May 22, and Monday, May 26.

Those flights come as the U.S. Transportation Department is moving to overhaul the nation’s air traffic control system.

Issues across the country are under scrutiny after outages at Newark’s Airport.
