Florence Co. Sheriff’s Deputy killed in accident while on duty
A FCSO spokesperson says Ansay died Tuesday from injuries sustained in an accident on US Highway 301 near Effingham.
Florence, S.C. (WOLO)– Officials with the Florence Co. Sheriff’s Office say they are mourning the loss of Deputy Nate Ansay.
A FCSO spokesperson says Ansay died Tuesday from injuries sustained in an accident on US Highway 301 near Effingham.
The accident is under investigation by the SC Highway Patrol.
According to deputies, Ansay, who graduated from the SC Criminal Justice Academy in March of 2024, was on duty at the time of the accident.
