SC adds 6,800 jobs

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– More people are working in South Carolina.

On Wednesday, May 21, the Department of Employment and Workforce announced the state added nearly seven thousand jobs between March and April of this year.

Department Director William Floyd says hospitality, real estate, and transportation saw  the largest gains.

The state’s unemployment rate is 4.2% which is in line with the national average.
