Brookland-Lakeview Empowerment Center giving produce boxes to people in need

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Brookland-Lakeview Empowerment Center – BLEC will distribute fresh produce boxes for individuals and families in need twice a month through June.

The 20 pound produce boxes are in collaboration with Harvest Hope Food Bank.

Distribution takes places between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. at Brookland-Lakeview Empowerment Center  (1218 Batchelor Street) in West Columbia.

Officials say there will be additional services included for senior supplemental boxes and diabetic boxes.
