ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says a 21-year-old has been arrested in connection with Thursday’s Holly Hill shooting.

Sheriff Ravenell says 21-year-old Killah Scott, of Holly Hill, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of armed robbery, and one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

“My investigators were able to locate and take this individual into custody before the day was out,” the sheriff says.

Investigators say his charges are in connection with a shooting incident that was reported around 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 23.

The caller said he and a female had driven to a location to meet someone when a male shot at them, hitting the female.

Fleeing the scene, the caller drove to a location near Holly Hill Elementary School where he met deputies, says OCSO.

Orangeburg County Sheriff’s investigators took Scott into custody later that day.

Scott faces 30 years in prison if convicted of attempted murder.

“This is just another senseless act that defies any logic at all,” continues the sheriff.
