Cookouts might be more expensive due to tariffs

(CNN)– It is Memorial Day, the unofficial start to Summer, and some of those Summer staples you buy might be a little pricier.

That goes for what you cook on the grill or maybe the cold beer you’ll be sipping.

The reason being is tariffs.

In April, President Donald Trump put a 25% tariff on imported aluminum and steel.

That includes empty aluminum cans and imported canned beer.

With U.S. based brewers feeling the cost pressure pinch that could transfer to the consumer.

You could also see higher prices for those fireworks you buy at roadside stands.
