A community comes together for ‘one last stroll’ inside area middle school

Orangeburg, SC (WOLO) — It’s the end of an era for an Orangeburg County Middle School as former students, staff and alumni get ready to make way for a new beginning.

Dozens were given the chance to take one last walk through the hallways of Robert E. Howard Middle before the structure is demolished.
Many took the chance to give a final farewell to an institution members of the community say shaped generations.

The school is set to be demolished this upcoming Fall.
