RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County Public Education Partners (RCPEP) is hosting a Literacy Leap Book Fair to inspire young readers.

The book fair will be held on Saturday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the R2i2 Conference Center on 763 Fashion Drive.

“Our goal is to ensure every child in Richland County has the resources he or she needs to develop a lifelong love of reading,” says Alana Grant, Executive Director, RCPEP.

Officials say the book fair will feature a wide selection of books for all ages, interactive reading activities, and meet-and-greet opportunities with local authors.

Families with K-12 children can explore engaging stories, enjoy live readings, and participate in literacy games.

“The Literacy Leap Book Fair creates a fun, inclusive space where families can discover new books, connect with local authors, and take meaningful steps towards building their own home libraries. We want to combat that summer slide and encourage youth to maintain academic progress through reading,” continues Grant.
